Higham-based charity which provides animal companionship to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable individuals at difficult times hosts a special event.


An exhibition showcasing the work of artists under 30 will take place from 23 - 25 September 2016 at Great Hall Barn in Thurlow, with proceeds supporting the work of Our Special Friends.


A fish tank, which it is hoped will enhance the well-being of elderly people living with dementia, was unveiled by the Mayor of St Edmundsbury, Patrick Chung, on Tuesday 4 August 2015. The fish tank was donated by local charity Our Special Friends to Links, a Day Centre at Saxon House for people living with dementia.


The founder of local charity Our Special Friends was among those invited to attend a special event at the House of Lords last week to celebrate the way in which pets bring support and joy to the lives of older people.
