A special edition of our newsletter to celebrate Our Special Friends 10th Anniversary. It is very difficult to capture the last 10 years in one newsletter and to showcase the breadth and depth of our work, as well as the challenges we have faced, but we hope that we can give you an insight into the value of our work and impact.

Our Impact

Demonstrating the scale and impact of our intervention is something that we can’t possibly summarise in a graph or diagram – a huge amount of work goes into helping each and every one of our clients!

What’s Next for Our Special Friends?

We know that it has been a difficult time for a lot of people and our support has never been more needed. The graph to the right shows how our cases have grown since 2020 – our services have never been in higher demand!

The last few years have been challenging for us all, with the Covid pandemic and cost of living crisis impacting the nation. Our Special Friends has done our best to help people in need by providing animal companionship support services, financial aid and a listening ear.

But like most charitable organisations at this time, we have struggled with securing sustainable funding due to the limited funds available for organisations. As demand for our services increases, so does our need to fund our work and recruit new volunteers. Read on to find out how you can support Our Special Friends.
