For me, becoming a Co-op member is a bit of a no brainer! My village shop is a Co-op, and as a cook, I am a regular visitor to the Co-op. I always find I have something missing from the store cupboard. Every time a member shops at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on Co-op branded products helps to fund community projects in their local area.
As a Co-op member, I also get 5% of what I spend on selected Co-op branded products and services back to spend on my next shop. With the amount of visits I make to the Co-op this soon adds up.
I had the pleasure of meeting Justin Brown, Manager of the Newmarket branch to receive a cheque from members who have chosen to support Our Special Friends during 2019. We received a phenomenal £2,846.22.
