It is so encouraging to see the success of this Social Prescribing project in West Suffolk being celebrated. See article.
One of the aims of Our Special Friends is to increase the awareness and understanding of the benefits of human-animal companionship and to facilitate the comfort and wellbeing it can bring to people without the worry, especially when people are elderly, vulnerable, feeling lonely or making difficult decisions.
Our Special Friends is a ‘one welfare’ human-animal bond charity providing emotional and practical support for people and their pets. It is initiatives such as this that enable us to effectively collaborate between human and companion animal organisations and local support networks. For more information visit Haverhill Lifelink.
